Shepherd to Sheep 1 Th 5:16-18
Shepherd to Sheep 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (7/7/25)
---
TEXT
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (KJV-BRG)
16 Rejoice evermore.
17 Pray without ceasing.
18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
---
REFLECTION
Gratitude is a key to unlocking joy and peace.
- God's Word teaches us that gratitude to God is not limited to moments of easiness and prosperity.
- It should be a constant posture in the life of a believer, including during "storms" or difficult times.
- Remember, "you never know what a teabag is like until it's in hot water." What is seeping out of you?
God calls us to give thanks in all circumstances.
- Not because everything is perfect.
- But because God is always faithful & good.
- No matter the circumstance (good times and hard times), when we learn to give thanks in the midst of them, we start to see the beauty of God's will for our lives in all things.
---
APPLICATION
Make it a point today to:
- Give thanks in good times.
- Give thanks in hard times.
- Rejoice in God's goodness.
- Pray with a grateful heart for all that He has done in your life.
- Start to cultivate an attitude of gratitude by giving thanks today.
---
SUPPLICATION
Jesus, thank You for all of the blessings in my life. Help me to cultivate a heart of gratitude, remembering Your goodness in all circumstances. Let my heart overflow with thankfulness. In Jesus' name, amen.
