God is generous and so He calls us to be as well. What we do with what God has given us shows the world where our hearts are at and helps proclaim the Gospel. We want to glorify God with every area of our lives (time, talent, tithe), and that includes what we do with our finances.
Jesus Christ laid down ALL of His life for us, and we respond by giving back to Him.
Money and material possessions must not be our god. They must be temporary fixtures in this earthly life. Jesus invites us to trade these earthly resources for heavenly treasure, so choose to sow generously toward God’s plans in this world, and reap generously the blessing of His rewards as we watch His ministry expand in our lives, neighborhoods, and cities.
As the family of God, we also regularly share our abundance with those who are in need. We are not possessive of what God has given us, but generous toward God and toward one another as we learn to have “all things in common.”
[Romans 12:1; Matthew 6:24; Matthew 6:19-21; 2 Corinthians 9:6; Acts 4:32]
Thank you for giving to the work of God here at Southwest Calvary.
